as many of you know, my name is Katie I live in ca. and my passion is cooking, simply because i believe it is the best thing to make someone happy or keep them happy. I started cooking when i was younger(about14) i started with the easy stuff potatoes, omelets, pasta and rice, and as i became older i started thinking of new things to put into each dish. i have cooked many things that haven't always worked out but i think everybody has made a bad judgement call when it comes to food. such as adding pepper to homemade ciabatta bread, or an extra garlic clove in some pasta, things like that. I don't eat processed foods at all any more, and when i do i regret it every time, my weakness however is soda, but i don't drink regular soda, i don't eat oily foods. I make these food decisions because when i was younger, at the end of the month we could not get the stuff we got at the beginning such as TV dinners or cookies and stuff like that, and i noticed i would have more energy and i would always lose a couple of pounds so now i eat fresh organic items and as much vegetables and fruits as possible, if im craving ice cream i make a creamy granita which is water mixed with a little bit of sugar, some lemon, or coffee and blended with cream cheese, i am infatuated with salads, and soups, and seafood but i also eat chicken or turkey and on occasion some beef. i like wraps as well.

As you see i love light comfort food, of course there are many more favorites such as chicken and cilantro soup with zuchini and potatoes, chicken wellington, bacon cheeseburger with blue cheese and avacado, Mustard glazed chicken with a beer reduced sauce and even more LOL.
I love homecooked meals, they dont always necessarily have to be the healthiest foods just light and delicious<3
