more pasta

Penne pasta with lemon chicken stiryfry and cilantro<3

so on the left is a veg and cheese flatbread with tomatoes, green bell pepper,onions,zuchini and mozzerella cheese

so on the left is chicken cooked in white wine with  white rice mixed with cucumber 

so this is a apple crumble topped with cream cheese

so this is one of my favorites it is once again drumsticks season with salt pepper and chicken seasoning and braised in white wine reduction on the side is penne pasta with a cilantro and lemon pesto and parmesan cheese

i call this stirfry panzenella, it is a typical stirfy of onions zuchini and carrots and the panzenella part is the toasted bread cubes very  delicious and super fast<3

The most expensive dishes i can think of :)

1.  Caviar rissoto

shiitake mushrooms
white wine
arborio rice
caviar pesto
parmesan cheese
basil
vegetable broth

caviar pesto

russian caviar
salt
pepper
olive oil
parmesan cheese

saute onions and mushrooms for 5 min add rice and cook for another 5 min, add white wine, start adding additions  of broth, finish with parmesan cheese and basil, turn fire off and fold in caviar pesto

for 1 serving of this dish it will cost you about 300 dollars
 will add more recipies later :)

My favorite Spaghetti dish


Spaghetti with shrimp,peas,mushrooms,olives,onion, zuchini and cooked in white wine and with garlic, i was sure it was gonna be good but it was beyond what i thought  so this is so my favorite dish made with spaghetti<3 and lemon

time to get back on track

Since this month begin, i fell into a trap of junk food, for some reason i had no will power to say no to junk like seeds and processed sweets and i haven't walked in 3 days, i feel like i gained like 50 lbs, i know i haven't but it feels that way.  even though i slept 8 hrs yesterday. to 1:30 i felt tired and took a nap at like 6:00 or 6:30 and got up at 8:00, went back to bed at 3 and now im up at 6...  am i sleeping enough???? because im exhausted but yet cant sleep no more, say today i dont go back to sleep until 10 tonight i dont know if i will be able to sleep till 6 am, what does this mean?? could it be the junk food?? i guess time will tell.
 So on the cooking side, yesterday was just awesom got lots of veggies and some shrimp , i have so many ideas of what to cook.  yesterday, I made a shrimp salad which was fabulous  i did do yoga. on another down side, i have had pain in alot of my muscles and joints and its driving me crazy but i think im just gonna push through them because i have been resting and nothings helping
Here are some ideas i was thinking of what to make
1)mushroom salad which is just sliced mushrooms, a lemon vinegarette , some shaved cheese and i plan on putting homemade crutons as well with some salt and pepper
2) chicken salad or ham wrapp with cream cheese and avacado in a whole wheat tortilla, i would prefer the chicken salad so i dont have to use the cream cheese but that depends if im allowed to use chicken :)
And im out of ideas, for now im going to make me some toast then go and do some yoga, i hope everyone has a good day<3

finally new store items XD

yesterday we went to the store to get a few things to go with dinner and i come upon something i never thought i would in tranquillity....  Lady fingers i was so exstatic i dont think my dad new how excited i was and being the nice parent he is, he lets me get them so we shall be having tirimisu very soon, i forgot to ask for cream cheese lol i still have a little bit so maybe i will just make one serving :) now if only he would get some parmesan cheese and some more vegetables :)  yesterday was another fabulous day i pray these good days dont end

im also gonna add some crutons and since i dont get the parmesan cheese wedge right now, i think i will ad shaved mozzerella  cant wait to get these ingredients.  :)

does any one know the taste difference between fennel seed and caraway seed, i know they say that fennel is licorice but caraway has the same smell so i was just curious.

i feel ashamed to say that yesterday and today i have been eating processed junk but for some reason i was craving it, i ate, some maple ice cream, mozerella sticks, seeds, chips and a sobe, mind you this was not at one time lol but yesterday and today, but my mom is helping me get motivated with walking around a mile or so everyday and doing some yoga so that has been fun so hopefully i dont feel the reprecussions of that junk lol, well i hope everyone had a great day and i will b posting up somemore food pics :)

Tonights dinner

so tonight for dinner i made chicken drumsticks and a salad, the drumsticks, i sprinkled liberally with salt, pepper and some chicken seasoning and browned each side for about 10 min on ever side then i melted some butter over the top of them and added some brown sugar and cooked for another 10 min.  the salad was lettuce, canned chopped tomatoes, olives and a creamy honey mustard dressing. it was really good.  i would have taken a picture but it wasnt the best presentation so i figured i could cook it again.  ;)  took a walk with mom today and did some yoga, which was nice.  well gonna enjoy some chocolate milk and then probably go lay down           :)

A little about me and food

as many of you know, my name is Katie I live in ca. and my passion is cooking, simply because i believe it is the best thing to make someone happy or keep them happy.  I started cooking when i was younger(about14) i started with the easy stuff potatoes, omelets, pasta and rice, and as i became older i started thinking of new things to put into each dish.  i have cooked many things that haven't always worked out but i think everybody has made a bad judgement call when it comes to food. such as adding pepper to homemade ciabatta bread, or an extra garlic clove in some  pasta, things like that.  I don't eat processed foods at all any more, and when i do i regret it every time, my weakness however is soda, but i don't drink regular soda, i don't eat oily foods.  I make these food decisions because when i was younger, at the end of the month we could not  get the stuff we got at the beginning such as TV dinners or cookies and stuff like that, and i noticed i would have more energy and i would always lose a couple of pounds so now i eat fresh organic items and as much vegetables and fruits as possible, if im craving ice cream i make a creamy granita which is water mixed with a little bit of sugar, some lemon, or coffee and blended with cream cheese, i am infatuated with salads, and soups, and seafood but i also eat chicken or turkey and on occasion some beef. i like wraps as well.

As you see i love light comfort food, of course there are many more favorites such as chicken and cilantro soup with zuchini and potatoes, chicken wellington, bacon cheeseburger with blue cheese and avacado, Mustard glazed chicken with a beer reduced sauce and even more LOL.

I love homecooked meals, they dont always necessarily have to be the healthiest foods just light and delicious<3
